CABLE CD 259 GLASS INSULATOR

Description

For auction is a CD 259
glass insulator, dark aqua in color, having a smooth base. It's 4-5/8" high and the base is 3-3/4" in diameter. The front skirt is embossed with CABLE and the skirt inner has about 2 or 3 wavy threads just below the pinhole threads. According to the reference guide, that would make it a CD 259 [020]. There are a few pieces of debris in the glass, a few of which are close enough to the surface to be mistaken for blemishes. The saddle is clean and shiny, suggesting that this one may never have seen service. The worst damage is 2 adjacent dings on the top corner of one of the ears. There is an 1/8" fisheye about 1/2" up from the base. There are maybe a half dozen more fleabites and tiny fisheyes scattered about.
Miscellaneous notes:
I generally evaluate and describe each of my insulators very critically, unlike some sellers who don't adequately describe the condition, have too few photos and use lots of hype. I don't want to be accused of trying to pass off something that it's not. My goal is for every buyer to feel that the insulator looks BETTER in his or her hand than in the photos.
Since last year when there were so many problems with USPS delivery times, I've chosen USPS Priority for shipping. The cost isn't too much more than Parcel Post and buyers have been happy with the fast deliveries.
