FRENCH L'ELECTRO VERRE "SPOOK" CD 656.5 GLASS INSULATOR

Description

For auction is a French CD 656.5 glass insulator, the style nicknamed "spook". The glass is the signature French emerald green, it's 5-5/8" high and 3" in diameter. It's embossed with L'ELECTRO VERRE on the front of the skirt and 95 on the reverse. With all its beauty it's a shame that there's a 1" by 5/8" slice out of the bottom of the skirt, along with a flaw on the rim of the crown consisting of a 1/4" flake next to a small doughnut-shaped chip. Nonetheless an acceptable example of a favorite style that can be tough to find.
Miscellaneous notes:
I generally evaluate and describe each of my insulators very critically, unlike some sellers who don't adequately describe the condition, have too few photos and use lots of hype. I don't want to be accused of trying to pass off something that it's not. My goal is for every buyer to feel that the insulator looks BETTER in his or her hand than in the photos.
