LIGHT AQUA CD 116 GLASS INSULATOR

For auction is a CD 116 [010] glass insulator embossed with "PATENT" over "DEC. 19. 1871"  on one side of the crown and "PATENT" over "MAY 2 1893" on the skirt, then "JULY 1

1882" over "PAT APPLIED FOR" on the reverse of the skirt, and having sharp drip points. The light aqua glass has some interesting swirly lines on the dome and a few pieces of junk embedded in the glass near the surface, plus a couple of prominent bubbles. It's gotten knocked around some during its life but most of the flaws are small so it still displays quite satisfactorily. The dome has two hits creating a 1/8" fisheye on one side and a 1/4" one on the other, as seen in photo 6. Photo 7 shows the
two largest
bubbles, a piece of white debris at the surface and a ding on the bottom wire ridge.
Photo 8 shows a 1/4" ding and flake off the bottom wire ridge. Photo 9 shows a ding on the upper wire ridge and another on the bottom ridge along with some scuffing to the left.
Photo 10 shows a 3/4" semi-circular internal crack resulting from getting a 1/4" flake knocked off the outside of the skirt. It only shows up from certain angles so the photo shows it temporarily outlined in marker for the photo. Most of the drip points have had the tips knocked off but all have at least some glass remaining.
